About Us

The Everyone Project is committed to offering evidence based mindfulness courses, such as the eight week Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) to people who are not otherwise able to access a mindfulness course.

In particular we want to help disadvantaged and isolated groups, and those living with multiple stressors. We do this because we are passionate about the power of Mindfulness to empower all in our society to flourish and achieve their true potential.

To achieve this, we engage fully qualified BAMBA registered mindfulness teachers, working in partnership with charities and other community, voluntary and public sector organisations to deliver the MBLC courses.

Our Mission

Our mission is to give the gift of mindfulness to help everyone in society to flourish.

The organisation’s purposes are:

  • The advancement of education and health primarily by making the benefits of mindfulness and related skills available in accordance with the Mindfulness Association Approach

  • The advancement of science by researching the impact of mindfulness interventions to inform future developments

    Our Story

The Everyone Project was born of an idea arising at the Mindfulness Association's 2016 Member's Conference. To bring the idea to fruition, the Mindfulness Association teamed up with the Hart Knowe Trust who provided start-up funding and administrative support. We are very grateful for that initial assistance without which we would not be carrying on our valuable work today.

The inspiring story of the principles behind the Everyone Project, how it was established and how it has grown, can be found in Chapter 25 of the book:

”Mindful Heroes – stories of journeys that changed lives”.
You can download the chapter free of charge here.

The download also includes the Table of Contents for the entire book. If you are inspired to read more, please purchase the book - royalties from sales of the book will help to fund more Everyone Project initiatives.

    Our Process

The mindfulness teachers we work with are trained by the Mindfulness Association and practice in accordance with the UK Good Practice Guidelines for Mindfulness teachers

The Charities and other organisations we partner with generally provide premises and other support for the course and recruit people who will benefit from the course.

This approach helps us to reach people who could not otherwise afford a Mindfulness course so that they can have access to the benefits of Mindfulness at no cost.

    Research

As a means of contributing to the growing body of research on the value of mindfulness practice in general, we collect data from the courses we deliver in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the eight week Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC).

Our research focuses in particular on wellbeing, dealing with difficulty and the development of values.

You can read more about our research here.

    Our Courses

Our Mindfulness teachers deliver the eight week Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) for adults and the eight week Mindfulness Based Living Course for Young Adults (MBLC-YA) for those aged 11 to 18 years.

The MBLC has been designed by the Mindfulness Association, and all the related teacher training is provided by them.
